Color Guard

The Color Guard is one of the most noticeable co-curricular activities within the AFJROTC program. Color Guard presents and posts the Colors at formal and informal events, competes in competitions, and participates in parades. Being part of the Color Guard gives a cadet the insight into how to properly present the national colors for selected events throughout the school year. The Color Guard consists of four highly motivated cadets that take pride in the presentation of the national colors at many events. The Color Guard members may be issued special uniform items including boots, ascots, berets, and gloves. They may also earn ribbons and other awards based on performance. This elite group helps to spread awareness of Shadow Mountain AFJROTC on a national, state, and local level. The Color Guard team practices are from 6:15 am - 7:15 am on Wednesday's and Thursday's.
